HOUSTON (December 6, 2005) – Recently, Wine Enthusiast magazine posed the question "Where do you find the best beef, the best wine, the best overall experience?" in a steakhouse. According to the magazine, Perry's, the Houston-based, family-owned restaurant renowned for exceptional service, dining and casual elegance was a standout in the Texas/Southwest region.

One of only two steakhouses recognized by the magazine, Perry's was recognized for their selection of fresh beef, dry-aged in-house, as well as for their house specialty— a "five-finger" pork chop, dried, cured and roasted, then caramelized and topped with their signature herb-garlic butter sauce.
